Past Students
During 2004 we enrolled students from many different backgrounds and from all around the world.
Our students come from all over the UK, but many live outside it, too. In 2004 we enrolled students living in many countries: from Canada to Australia; China to Barbados; Botswana to Sweden; from Ghana, India, Egypt, Greece, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, and Ukraine. We also had students who were members of British Forces posted overseas as well as ones living at all points in the UK between Cornwall and Orkney.
All sorts of people enrol with us: people in their first job after university looking for professional qualifications, career changers, people looking to set up in business for themselves, people learning new skills, people confirming their job experience with qualifications, and people who are simply following one of their interests.
Many of our students have their studies sponsored by their employers. In 2003 sponsors included organisations as diverse as institutions like the University of Cambridge, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Shetland Health Board, service providers like Help the Aged, Deutsche Bank, and the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, utilities like Petro-Canada, and Severn Trent Water, retailers like BHS and First Choice Holidays, and manufacturers including Jordans Cereals, Dolby Laboratories, Hewlett-Packard, Airbus and Jaguar.

Our students are generally happy with the service they get, too. We ask our students to fill out a questionnaire when they've completed their studies. From the questionnaires submitted by students who finished their studies in 2003:
- 94% were satisfied with the help they received when they contacted the College,
- 92% found their tutor helpful,
- 94% received useful feedback on their coursework,
- 91% felt the course was good value, and
- 89% felt ready to sit their exam.
Students felt that we compared well with traditional attendance-based courses, too:
- 90% felt their course was better than a traditional-type one.
