Past Cheltenham CIPS Students
We enrol CIPS purchasing and supply students from many different backgrounds, and from all around the world. You can see how they've done with our pass rates.
Our students are at different points in their working lives: some are in their first job after university and looking for professional qualifications; some are career changers; some are looking to set up in business for themselves; some are confirming their job experience with qualifications; and others are aiming for senior management or consultancy roles.
Anyone, anywhere, can study with us: in 2009 we enrolled students living in many countries: from Romania to the Falkland Isles; Kazakhstan to Trinidad & Tobago; Botswana to Estonia; from Gambia, Mauritius, Jordan, Spain, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, and Ukraine. We also had students who were members of British Forces posted overseas as well as ones living at all points in the UK between Cornwall and Orkney.
Many of our students have their studies sponsored by their employers. In 2009 we supplied training to a diverse range of UK and overseas organisations, public institutions, service providers, utilities, retailers, and manufacturers, including the Open University, the Welsh Assembly, NHS Western Isles, the Royal Logistics Corp, Equity Insurance, West Yorkshire Police, Illovo Sugar, SmartestEnergy, The Carphone Warehouse, CCS McLays, Ricoh, BBC Worldwide, Morrison Construction, Airbus, and Rolls-Royce.
All sorts of organisations from the smallest to the largest, in all sectors and locations, fully commercial and not-for-profit, sponsor students to study with us. You can read more about our clients.
Our students are generally happy with the service they get, too. We ask our students to fill out a course completion questionnaire for each of their units. From those questionnaires submitted by students who finished their studies during 2009 and 2010:
- 93% were satisfied with the help they received when they contacted the College; 0% were not,
- 83% found their tutor helpful; 2% did not,
- 93% received useful feedback on their coursework; 0% did not,
- 88% felt the course was good value; 0% did not,
- 59% felt ready for their assessment; 7% did not.
Students felt that we compared well with traditional attendance-based courses, too:
- 37% felt their course was better than a traditional-type one; 12% did not.
